Switzerland arrives in Milan to promote its excellence

The House of Switzerland, a temporary networking and communication platform at the Casa degli Artisti in Milan, will officially open tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 29, the House of Switzerland will be officially inaugurated, a temporary networking and communication platform for the Red Cross nation that has rented the spaces of the Casa degli Artisti, a few meters from Corso Garibaldi in Milan, until April 12. of June. With the occupation of the recently renovated structure, Switzerland intends to promote its excellence.

To this end, more than thirty themed events and temporary exhibitions will be organized throughout the 1,250 square meters of the Casa degli Artisti. From round tables to film screenings, workshops and networking events: the main themes will be innovation, sustainability, art and culture. As Swiss Ambassador Nicolas Bideau explained, “Switzerland’s image abroad is generally positive, but it is often imbued with easy stereotypes linked to the worldwide fame of our chocolate, our cheeses or our wonderful mountains. Little is known yet rather than the innovative strength and importance of Switzerland in the fields of science and technology.”

This is echoed by the Swiss Consul General in Milan, Sabrina Dellafior, who underlines how “at this time of restart it seemed appropriate to tell the dynamism, creativity and inventiveness of an innovative and sustainable Switzerland, partly still unknown”. To bring the nation even closer to its citizens, the bistro set up inside the Casa degli Artisti will serve tasting menus with strong contaminations from beyond the Alps, cooking dishes enriched with wild, aromatic and medicinal herbs, sometimes in a version of fusion with the Milanese gastronomy.
